NEW YORK, Aug 14 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended losses on Friday, with all three major indexes falling more than 1 percent, after data showed U.S. consumer confidence fell in early August as more Americans fretted about their finances.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 105.13 points, or 1.12 percent, at 9,293.06. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 11.61 points, or 1.15 percent, at 1,001.12. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 28.57 points, or 1.42 percent, at 1,980.78.
