NEW YORK, June 18 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks extended gains on Thursday after three days of losses as data on the job market and regional manufacturing revived hopes that the recession-hit economy is stabilizing.
* The Dow Jones industrial average climbed 91.83 points, or 1.08 percent, to 8,589.01. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 10.40 points, or 1.14 percent, to 921.11. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 6.98 points, or 0.39 percent, to 1,815.04. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Jan Paschal)
