NEW YORK, Aug 14 (Reuters) - U.S stocks fell on Friday as a production halt at Boeing Co, a Dow component, pressured the index, as investors awaited consumer sentiment data for more insight into the state of the economy.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 30.61 points, or 0.33 percent, at 9,367.58. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 3.05 points, or 0.30 percent, at 1,009.68. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 9.05 points, or 0.45 percent, at 2,000.30.
