TOKYO, June 18 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average fell 1.2 percent on Thursday, with exporters such as Canon Inc losing ground as the yen hovered near two-week highs against the dollar.
The benchmark Nikkei fell 113.22 points to 9,727.63. The Nikkei had hit an eight-month closing high of 10,135.82 last Friday.
The broader Topix fell 0.9 percent to 915.03. (Reporting by Masayuki Kitano)
