TOKYO, June 16 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average fell 1 percent on Tuesday after U.S. shares slid on weak regional manufacturing data, with tech shares such as Kyocera Corp down after their U.S. peers fell. The benchmark Nikkei lost 98.17 points to 9,941.50 as of 0005 GMT after closing down 0.95 percent at 10,039.67 on Monday. The broader Topix fell 1.5 percent. (Reporting by Masayuki Kitano)
