TOKYO, June 9 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average edged down 0.4 percent on Tuesday, with resource-linked shares such as trading house Mitsubishi Corp slipping in the face of broad weakness in commodities prices.
Canon Inc and other exporters slipped following a rally on Monday on a weaker yen.
The benchmark Nikkei shed 57.40 points to 9,808.23, while the broader Topix lost 0.4 percent to 922.95. (Reporting by Elaine Lies)
