HONG KONG, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks ended up 2.29 percent on Friday, the biggest one-day gain in six weeks, with upbeat earnings from top Chinese lenders such as ICBC lifting banking shares.
The Hang Seng Index closed up 487.88 points at 21,752.87, snapping three straight days of losses.
The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks rose 2.43 percent to 12,769.36.
Industrial & Commercial Bank of China advanced 3.45 percent, after reporting a 19 percent rise in quarterly profit. Bank of China gained 5.77 percent. (Reporting by Jun Ebias; Editing by Chris Lewis)
