BERLIN, June 15 (Reuters) - German unemployment will rise to around 4.6 million next year despite the economy making a hesitant recovery, Economy Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg said in a newspaper interview released on Monday.
"The economic situation remains tough this year. But I am sticking to my view: In 2010, there will be timid growth again. I expect 0.5 percent. Unemployment will, however, rise again to around 4.6 million," he told the Neue Presse newspaper.
Germany's headline unadjusted unemployment figure -- which tends to dominate German media reports -- registered 3.458 million in May, representing a rate of 8.2 percent. (Editing by James Dalgleish)
