EU raids Spain cement sector over suspected cartel

BRUSSELS, Sept 23 (Reuters) - The European Commission said on Wednesday it had raided the premises of makers of cement and related products in Spain on suspicion of cartel activities.

The Commission, antitrust watchdog of the 27-nation European Union, did not identify the companies involved.

It said in a statement that it carried out the raids with the Spanish competition authority on Sept. 22 and 23. (Reporting by Bate Felix)
