PARIS, Oct 26 (Reuters) - French bank Credit Agricole is examining a three way merger with domestic rival Societe Generale and mutually-held insurer Groupama, Le Monde newspaper reported on its website on Monday.
SocGen and Groupama declined to comment on the report, while a spokesman for Agricole had no immediate comment.
Agricole and SocGen already have joint ventures in fund management and through their Newedge brokerage. (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta; Editing by David Holmes)
