Investing.com – U.S. retail sales rose by more than expected in June, official figures showed.
The Commerce Department said retail sales were up 0.6% from May when they rose 0.2%.
The May figure was revised downward from an initial estimate of a gain of 0.5%.
Economists forecast retail sales to rise 0.1% last month.
Core sales, which exclude autos, were up a seasonally adjusted 0.7% in June.
