Investing.com – The U.S. Conference Board consumer confidence index rose more than expected in August.
The index climbed to 11-month high of 101.1 in August from a revised 96.7 in July.
The July figure was revised from an initial reading of 97.3.
Economists expected consumer confidence to fall to 97.0 in August.
