Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Property, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 1.43% or 2.00 points to trade at 142.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) added 1.23% or 0.070 points to end at 5.750 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 1.18% or 1.200 points to 103.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI), which fell 3.63% or 0.250 points to trade at 6.640 at the close. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) declined 1.80% or 0.280 points to end at 15.240 and SM Investments Corp (PS:SM) was down 1.35% or 13.00 points to 947.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 102 to 77 and 58 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1279.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.11 to trade at $58.33 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.31% to 7.8163, while USD/PHP rose 0.29% to 51.865.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.56.
