Investing.com - U.S. factory orders rose higher than expected in December, official data showed on Friday.
In a report, the U.S. Census Bureau said factory orders rose by a seasonally adjusted 1.7% in December, compared to expectations for a rise of 1.5%.
Factory orders rose 1.7% in November in an upward revision from what had been a 1.3% gain.
Factory orders excluding transportation advanced 0.7% in December, compared to the prior month’s 1.1% gain which was revised up from an initial 0.8% increase.
