U.K. service sector growth slowed to its weakest level in three years amid fears over the growing risk of Brexit.
The Markit services purchasing managers index declined to 52.7 last month from January’s 55.6.
It was the lowest reading since March 2013.
The weak data put paid to any talk of interest rate increases by the Bank of England.
The pound has now fallen almost 9% against a basket of currencies since the start of December on Brexit worries.
