Stocks and the dollar were trading mixed Tuesday morning, after data on pending home sales showed less decline than economits had estimated.
In recent trade, the DOW was moving lower by 0.87%. The broader S&P 500 was lower by 0.16% but the NASDAQ was moving 1% ahead on the day. The dollar was lower against the euro by 0.16%, but was gaining 0.62% against the pound and 0.42% against Australia's dollar. The greenback was lower by 0.40% against the yen as the S&P declined.
Commodities were trading mixed as well. NYMEX crude for January delivery was moving lower by 63 cents (-1.46%0 to $43.07 per barrel, but COMEX gold was trading $2.30 (0.30%) higher to $771.60 per ounce.
