Investing.com - U.S. retail sales in January rose more than expected, data Wednesday showed.
Sales rose 0.4% in January from the previous month, the Commerce Department said.
Sales in December revised to gain of 1.0% from an initial reading of 0.6%.
Economists forecast a rise of 0.1% in January sales.
Core retail sales rose 0.7% against a forecast rise of 0.3%.
