Investing.com – U.S. core consumer price inflation was higher than expected in January, official figures showed Wednesday.
The core CPI was up 0.3% from December when it was up 0.2%.
The January core CPI was forecast to rise 0.2% month-on-month.
The index was an up an annual 2.3% vs. forecast rise of 2.1%.
The headline CPI in January was up 0.6% from December vs. a forecast rise of 0.3%
