Investing.com - U.S. housing starts rose more than expected in April, a report on Tuesday showed.
Groundbreaking increased 6.6% to an annual pace of 1.17 million units, the Commerce Department said.
Economists had forecast an increase of 2.9% to an annual pace of 1.127 million units.
Building permits rose 3.6% to a 1.12 million-unit rate last month, against expectations of a 4.3% increase.
