Investing.com - U.S. existing home sales rose more than expected in January to hit a six-month high.
The National Association of Realtors said home resales rose 0.4% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.47 million.
Analysts had expected a decline of 2.9% to a pace of 5.32 million units.
The average price for a previously owned home increased 8.2% to $213,800 from a year ago.
