Tokyo’s core consumer price inflation rose more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, the Statistics Bureau said that Tokyo’s core CPI, which excludes fresh food costs rose at an annualized rate of -0.50%, from -1.00% in the preceding month.
Analysts had expected Tokyo’s core CPI to rise to -0.80% last month.
