Investing.com – The unemployment rate in Switzerland remained unchanged in August, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs said the rate of unemployment held steady at a seasonally adjusted 3.8% in August.
Analysts had expected the Swiss unemployment rate to decline to 3.7% in August.
According to the report, the total number of unemployed people in Switzerland rose to 142,900 in August.
Following the data, the Swiss franc was up against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.02% to hit 1.0121.
