Investing.com – Retail sales in Switzerland rose less-than-expected in October, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Switzerland’s Federal Statistical Office said that retail sales rose at an annual rate of 3.5% in October, after rising by 4.1% in September, whose figure was revised up from 3.8%.
Analysts had expected retail sales to increase at annual rate of 4.9% in October.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was up against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.09% to hit 1.0014.
