Investing.com - Retail sales in Switzerland rose less-than-expected in October, while the previous month’s figure was revised lower, official data showed on Monday.
In a report, Switzerland’s Federal Statistical Office said that retail sales rose at annualized rate of 2.7% in October, missing expectations for a 4.1% gain.
Retail sales for September were revised down to a 5.0% gain from a previously reported 5.4% increase.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.32% to trade at 0.9249.
