Investing.com - Switzerland's producer price index rose in line with expectations in December, official data showed on Thursday.
The Swiss Federal Statistical Office said its producer price index inched up by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in December, broadly in line with market expectations.
Swiss producer prices were flat in November.
Year-over-year, the producer price index advanced at an annualized rate of 1% in December, compared to expectations for a 0.9% increase, after rising at a rate of 1.2% in November.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was lower against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF adding 0.24% to trade at 0.9332.
