Investing.com – Switzerland's producer price index declined less-than-expected in October, official data showed on Monday.
The Swiss Federal Statistical Office said its producer price index declined by a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in October, after declining by 0.1% in September.
Analysts had expected Swiss PPI to ease by 0.3% in October.
Year-over-year, the producer price index fell at an annualized rate of 1.8% in October, compared to analyst expectations for a 1.9% decline, after dropping at a rate of 2.0% in September.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was modestly higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF easing down 0.1% to trade at 0.8991.
