Investing.com - Switzerland's producer price index fell for the sixth consecutive month in September, stoking concerns over deflation risks, official data showed on Tuesday.
The Swiss Federal Statistical Office said its producer price index slumped by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% last month, meeting forecasts, and following a decline of 0.7% in August.
Year-over-year, the producer price index fell at an annualized rate of 6.8% in September, in line with expectations and unchanged from a month earlier.
USD/CHF was trading at 0.9596 from around 0.9600 ahead of the release of the data, while EUR/CHF was at 1.0933 from 1.0937 earlier.
