Investing.com – The Swiss National Bank kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged in December, it announced on Thursday.
In a statement, the SNB said it was keeping its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 0.25% in December, broadly in line with expectations.
Later in the day, the SNB was to hold a press conference, where the Governing Board provides information about the economic situation and comments on the National Bank's monetary policy.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was down against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF gaining 0.27% to hit 0.9707.
