Investing.com - Consumer price inflation in Switzerland was unchanged in August from a month earlier, official data showed on Monday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation was flat last month, compared to forecasts for a 0.1% decline. Swiss consumer prices fell 0.4% in July.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices increased at an annualized rate of 0.1% in August, compared to expectations for a flat reading, after holding flat in July.
The Swiss franc was modestly lower against the U.S. dollar following the release of the data, with USD/CHF easing up 0.06% to trade at 0.9316.
