Investing.com - Consumer price inflation in Switzerland declined unexpectedly in June, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation inched down by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% last month, compared to forecasts for a 0.1% gain. Swiss consumer prices rose 0.3% in May.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices were flat in June, below expectations for a 0.2% increase, after rising 0.2% May.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was little changed against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF easing up 0.03% to trade at 0.8939.
