Investing.com - Consumer price inflation in Switzerland rose in line with market expectations in September, increasing for the first time in three months, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation advanced by a seasonally adjusted 0.3% in September, in line with forecasts.
Swiss consumer prices inched down 0.1% in August.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices declined at an annualized rate of 0.1% last month, matching expectations, after holding flat in August.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was lower against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF adding 0.24% to trade at 0.9049.
