Investing.com - Consumer price inflation in Switzerland inched up for the second consecutive month in October, official data showed on Wednesday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation rose by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in October, compared to expectations for a 0.3% increase.
Swiss consumer prices rose by 0.3% in September.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices fell at an annualized rate of 0.2% last month, in line with expectations, after falling at a rate of 0.4% in September.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc remained higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.33% to trade at 0.9398.
