Investing.com - Consumer price inflation in Switzerland rose in line with expectations in April, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation inched up by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% last month, matching forecasts. Swiss consumer prices rose 0.4% in March.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices were flat in April, compared to expectations for a 0.1% increase, after holding flat in March.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was modestly higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.14% to trade at 0.8751.
