Investing.com - Consumer price inflation in Switzerland rose broadly in line with market expectations in May, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation inched up by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in May, in line with expectations.
Swiss consumer prices were flat in April.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices fell at an annualized rate of 0.5% last month, compared to expectations for a 0.6% decline, after falling at a rate of 0.6% in April.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc remained higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.14% to trade at 0.9409.
