Investing.com – Consumer price inflation in Switzerland eased broadly in line with market expectations n June, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation declined by 0.2% in June, after posting a flat reading in May.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices rose at an annualized 0.6% in June, after increasing at a rate of 0.4% in May.
Analysts had expected year-over-year CPI to rise at an annualized rate of 0.7% in June.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was slightly higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF easing down 0.04% to trade at 0.8389.
