Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 2.12% or 12.0 points to trade at 579.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 1.57% or 3.00 points to end at 194.00 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.56% or 0.21 points to 37.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 5.55% or 5.85 points to trade at 99.55 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.81% or 0.68 points to end at 23.54 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 1.91% or 1.75 points to 90.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 332 to 264 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.57% or 3.00 to 194.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.96% or 0.86 to $43.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.48% or 0.69 to hit $45.90 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.57% or 7.45 to trade at $1310.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 9.5696, while USD/SEK rose 1.13% to 8.5785.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.76% at 96.00.
