TOKYO, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 0.5 percent on Tuesday, with shares of exporters climbing after the S&P 500 managed a sixth consecutive day of gains, while oil and gas developer Inpex rose after a jump in oil prices.
The benchmark Nikkei added 50.46 points to 10,066.85, after climbing 1.9 percent on Friday to hit its highest finish in a week.
The broader Topix gained 0.6 percent to 903.29. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
