Investing.com - The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits rose more than expected last week.
Initial jobless claims rose by 11,000 to 276,000 from the previous week’s total of 265,000, the Labor Department said.
Economists had expected claims to hold steady at 265,000.
Claims have now remained below the 300,000 mark, which is associated with strong labor market conditions, for 55 weeks.
