Japanese housing starts fell less-than-expected last month, official data showed on Friday.
In a report, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism said that the number of housing starts fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 17.70%, from 20.50% in the preceding month.
Analysts had expected the number of housing starts to fall to 15.40% last month.
