Investing.com – The number of people filing for jobless benefits in the U.S. last week fell more than expected.
Initial jobless claims dropped by 16,000 to 254,000, the Labor Department said Thursday.
The previous week’s figure was revised to a rise of 270,000 from an initial reading of 268,000.
Economists had expected claims to increase by 2,000 to 270,000 last week.
