TOKYO, Feb 23 (Reuters) - The euro rose sharply against the Swiss franc on Tuesday, with two traders saying the Swiss National Bank was seen bidding for the euro against the Swiss franc on trading platform EBS.
Two traders at European banks said the SNB had been seen bidding for the euro at levels as high as around 1.4675 to 1.4680 Swiss francs.
The euro rose to as high as 1.4684 Swiss francs on EBS, having jumped from around 1.4635 francs. After trimming some gains, the euro was 0.2 percent higher on the day at 1.4664 Swiss francs. (Reporting by Charlotte Cooper and Masayuki Kitano)
