Investing.com - German inflation cooled last month, according to a report released on Tuesday.
The consumer price index rose 1.4% last month, compared with the same month a year earlier, according to data from the Federal Statistics Office.
Prices rose by 0.5% from a month earlier.
Economists had expected annual inflation to increase by 1.5% and monthly inflation to rise by 0.5%.
The state readings are not harmonized to compare with other euro zone countries.
Consumer prices, harmonized to compare with other euro zone countries, rose by 1.2% from the previous year and rose by 0.5% from the previous month.
