Investing.com - U.S. stocks were up after the closing bell on Monday.
At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.06%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.09%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.19%.
Earlier in the day, industry data showed that The U.S. ISM manufacturing PMI rose unexpectedly to 56.90 last month from 54.40 in the preceding month.
Analysts had expected the ISM manufacturing PMI to fall to 53.60 last month.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets were mixed at close. France’s CAC 40 was up 0.20%; Germany’s DAX gained 0.05%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.34%; and the EURO STOXX 50 fell 0.29%.
