Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.80%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 0.93% or 0.0320 points to trade at 3.4600 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.31% or 0.12 points to end at 38.93 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.28% or 0.08 points to 29.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V), which fell 5.21% or 1.78 points to trade at 32.39 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 3.55% or 1.10 points to end at 29.92 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 3.21% or 1.36 points to 41.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 122 to 51 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 3.89% or 1.57 to $38.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 3.73% or 1.43 to hit $36.91 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.50% or 18.50 to trade at $1217.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1402, while EUR/GBP rose 1.17% to 0.8018.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 94.57.
