Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales rose less-than-expected in September, official data showed on Monday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales rose by 0.3% in September, missing expectations for a 0.6% gain.
August’s figure was revised up to a 0.3% increase from a previously reported 0.2% rise.
Canadian wholesale sales totaled CAD48.7 billion in September.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar was down against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD rising 0.67% to trade at 1.0342.
