Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales rose for the first time in three months in March, easing concerns over the health of the economy, official data showed on Wednesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales increased by a seasonally adjusted 0.8% in March, just below expectations for a gain of 0.9%. Wholesale sales growth in February declined 0.4%.
Higher sales were recorded in five of seven subsectors, accounting for 66% of total wholesale sales.
USD/CAD was trading at 1.2196 from around 1.2212 ahead of the release of the data.
