Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales rose less more than expected in January, official data showed on Wednesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales increased by a seasonally adjusted 0.8% in January, below forecasts for a 1% gain. Wholesale sales fell by 1.3% in December.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar was lower against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD rising 0.36% to hit 1.1176.
