Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales rose less-than-expected in January, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales rose by 0.3% in January, compared to expectations for a 0.4% increase.
Wholesale sales fell by 0.9% in December.
The increase was mainly a result of higher sales in the computer and communications equipment and supplies industry.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar remained lower against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD gaining 0.27% to hit 1.0244.
