Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales rose less-than-expected in September, official data showed on Wednesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales increased by a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in September, compared to expectations for a 1% gain.
Wholesale sales for August were revised down to a 0.4% increase from a previously reported gain of 0.5%.
Sales increased in four of the seven subsectors, accounting for 45% of wholesale sales.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar remained modestly higher against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD shedding 0.1% to hit 1.0459.
