Investing.com - Canadian wholesale sales fell significantly more-than-expected in June, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said wholesale sales fell by 2.8% in June, compared to expectations for a 1% decline.
Wholesale sales for May were revised down to a 2.2% gain from a previously reported increase of 2.3%.
The decline was widespread as sales were lower in all subsectors in June.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar added to losses against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD adding 0.5% to hit 1.0398.
